Snowmobile Trail Report
|Marlette was first settled in the mid-1800's by people from Ontario who had heard that land with tall timber and fertile soil was nearly free for the asking. The city was named after a family of settlers named "Marlatt" who had carved their name on a log shanty.|
Marlette's rich soil produces crops of corn, beans, and sugar beets. There are also many sod and dairy farms. Modular homes are constructed and distributed from the area and the major factories produce automotive parts.
Marlette features a municipal swimming pool, a public golf course and a hard surface municipal airport.
