South Branch Township is located in the Southwestern corner of Wexford County. It includes the junction of M-37 and M-55, as well as the Pine River and Caberfae Ski area. Canoing the Pine is a major feature of this township. There are several access points to the River, including the scenic Peterson Bridge on M-37. Another interesting view of the River can be seen from the Hoxeyville High Bridge on County Road 48 �. There are also many ORV and snowmobile trails in the area. All but just a couple of square miles of this township are contained in the Manistee National Forest. |
