Lupton Rose Township, Michigan
Lupton is located in northeastern Ogemaw County in Rose Township.
This town was first settled by Quakers from Ohio, led by the Emmor Lupton family in 1880. During the Lumber Era, it was given a station on the Detroit, Bay City & Alpena Railroad. This community has retained its small town atmosphere throughout the years, supported mainly by tourism from visitors and cottage owners visiting the lakes area just to the east.
It contains the township hall and also an old one room school house that is listed in the Michigan Historical Register.
