	Richland Township is located in the southwest corner of Missaukee County. The township hall is located in the small community of Lucas. This community was founded in 1882 when Dutch immigrant Harm Lucas and his 5 sons came to settle in the area. Today, this township contains some of the richest farmland in the county, with specialization in dairy cattle, corn and feed. It is a hilly area, with several high spots that make for a beautiful view.
