Norwich Township is located in the northwestern corner of Missaukee County. The township hall is in Moorestown. This remote township is one of the few remaining double-sized townships in Michigan, spanning 6 X 12 square miles. The eastern half is located in the Missaukee State Forest and contains several streams and creeks that form the Dead Stream Swamp. Oil also has been found here, with many well dotting the landscape. The small community of Moorestown is known for having an airport and is a popular place in the summer months for fly-ins with those who have small aircrafts. |
