North Shade Township is Gratiot County�s southwestern corner. This area is entirely agricultural, consisting of dry bean and corn production, as the rest of Gratiot County is known for. It�s geographical features are unremarkable. What makes this township unique, however, is it�s location in the middle of four cities, all within 2 miles of its borders: Middleton, Perrinton, Maple Rapids, and Carson City. The township hall is located at the corner of Roosevelt and Warner Roads.
