	Lake Township is located in the northwest corner of Benzie County on the Lake Michigan coastline. This highly scenic area primarily consists of the southern portion of the Sleeping Bear Dunes, which extends north into Leelanau County. From the shoreline location accessed from Esch road just a few miles west off 22, you can see the large dune at Empire to the north.
