Forest Township, Michigan
Forest Township is located in central Missaukee County. Most of it is rural, although its southwestern section is considered a functional extension of Lake City.
It was aptly named, as sections of it are in the Missaukee State Forest. This township once contained a town called Cutcheon. It began in in 1884 and was named after Byron M. Cutcheon, the congressman for the district from 1883 to 1886.
