Blissfield Township Population: 2000(3915) 1990(3849) Change(66)
Blissfield Township is located on the near southeastern side of Lenawee County. It lies just 6 miles north of the Ohio state line. This is primarily a rural, agricultural area, with many active farms, its largest community being Blissfield.
The River Raisin runs through here, and can be enjoyed at the city park. The Adrian & Blissfield Railroad , a small, local line, transports grain from huge elevators east of town to Adrian, where grain is transferred to larger lines. The railroad is also known for weekend passenger excursion trips by railroad enthusiasts, which feature some well-kept streamliner cars from the CN.
Township offices are located on Blissfields historic Main Street. |
