Acme is an unincorporated community in the township, situated at the junction of U.S. Highway 31 and Michigan State Highway 72 on the East Arm of the Grand Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan. It is about 10 miles east of Traverse City at 44�46'19?N, 85�30'05?W. The ZIP code is 49610 and the FIPS place code is 00180.
