Ypsilanti is 4.19 square miles and is located in Washtenaw County in the East Central part of the county. Ypsilanti�s motto is The City That Works. Ypsilanti was established in 1823, it is the second oldest city in the State of Michigan.

Some of the physical features of Ypsilanti are the Huron River that flows through the east side of town and may of the houses were built in the 1800�s even as early as 1830.

There is a depot town for shopping, seven parks consisting of 85 acres, many sports events, and there are home tours during the Heritage Festival week, which is held during the third week in August.
