Kent City, Michigan

	Kent City is located in Tyrone Township in northwestern Kent County. Originally referred to as Ball Creek in 1873, (after the stream running through town), it was renamed Kent City in 1876 after the famous New York Jurist, James Kent, (1763-1847). Today, Kent City�s economy is primarily agricultural, with a grain elevator in town, and situated in an orchard region rich in peaches and apples.
