Honor is a village in Benzie County of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 299. The village is located within Homestead Township on U.S. Highway 31 along the Platte River. Home of the "National Coho Festival," Honor is known for its fishing on the Platte River, which runs through the outskirts of town. There are several cabins and fishing resorts scattered along the Platte for visiting fisherman. Honor is located between Lake Ann and Beulah on US 31, has a bank restaurant, post office, gas station, and some novelty shops. Honor was founded in 1895. For some years, it was a major logging town. It incorporated as a village in 1914.
