Hillman, Michigan

Hillman is located on the northeastern border of Montmorency County. This town was founded by John Hillman Stevens in 1880, who was the first to purchase land here. Later, he gave his land to the city, which was officially organized as a village in 1891. Today, Hillman has become the largest city in the county, with several manufacturing facilities, including tool-and-die, lumber products, and electrical supplies. It is also located on the Thunder Bay River, complete with dam and park on the pond.
