Ferndale is 3.9 square miles and is located in Oakland County. Ferndale
was declared a village in 1918 and as a city in 1927. The reason for the
name Ferndale is because the area was overgrown with ferns. Ferndale has a few parks to visit, they are: Martin Road, Roosevelt, Wilson, Garbutt and Harding Parks, along with the city parks. Ferndale also has the Ferndale Historical Museum and the Ferndale Public Library. |
