Clawson is 2.5 square miles and is located in Oakland County.

The reason how Clawson got its name is by a family who lived there named Lawson, the "C" was added by mistake by the United States Postal Department. Clawson became a city in 1940.

Some of the sights to see are: the City Park, a small Memorial Park, the Clawson Historical Museum, and the Blair Memorial Library.
