Byron, Michigan - 48418 |
|||||||||
|
Byron is located in the southeast corner of Shiawassee County. Historically the first store was built here in 1842 by Holden White, who also was postmaster at the time. It was eventually incorporated as a village in 1873, after acquiring a spur on the Ann Arbor Railroad. This community has retained it’s friendly, small-town atmosphere throughout the years. It currently has its own school, located next to a picturesque park on the south branch of the Shiawassee River.
