	Northville Township was established in 1898 and became a Charter Township in 1985. Encompassing 16.63 square miles, Northville Township lies entirely in Wayne County and surrounds the Wayne County portion of the City of Northville to the west, south, and east. Northville Township’s population exceeds 21,000. Northville Township’s growth was planned specifically to preserve open space, wooded lots and protect waterways. Northville Township provides a variety of classic and unique housing choices as well as distinctive areas for business opportunities.
