Marilla Township, Michigan

	Marilla Township is located on the eastern border of Manistee County, just to the north. This is primarily a rural area situated in fairly high country, composed of small farms and a few patchy areas of the Pere Marquette State Forest. The township hall is located in the center of the township at what remains of Marilla, an old lumbering community began in 1869, then a station on the Manistee and Northwestern Railroad. The Manistee River also flows through the southeast corner of the township, with the Hodenphyl Dam just on the eastern border.
