Harrisville Township is located on Alcona County’s eastern border along the Lake Huron coastline. The county seat, Harrisville is its largest community.

This is a scenic area that includes the Harrisville State Park, Huron Bluffs as well as many cottages, resorts and bed-and-breakfasts for summer tourists.

In the last few years, it has seen significant growth in real estate development and has become a popular location in Michigan for retirement.

The marina situated behind the breakway in the harbor at Harrisville provides an excellent location for great lakes boaters to spend a summer vacation.
