Gustin Township is located in southeastern Alcona County, about six miles from Harrisville and the Lake Huron coastline. This is a rural, agricultural area composed primarily of small farms and sections of the Huron National Forest. The township hall is located in Lincoln, on its northeastern border. It is bisected by M-72 and contains the small community of Killmaster: This was once a small lumbering town named after lumberman John Killmaster. He opened a sawmill and post office there in 1885, which remained in operation until 1911. |
