	Population: 1,591 (1990) Galien Township is located on the Indiana/Michigan state line in southern Berrien County, Michigan. The township is largely a rural agricultural community. The township's largest community is the Village of Galien, where children play ball at the park behind the American Legion on warm Saturday mornings. US Highway12 is the main transportation artery though the area, making it a quick trip the town of Niles to the east, or harbor country to the west.
