Enterprise Township is located on the near northeastern border of Missaukee County. This is an extremely remote area, consisting mainly of state forest land and several farms. The Muskegon River flows through here, coming from the Reedsburg dam, which is located on the county line adjacent to Roscommon County just a few miles from Houghton Lake, its source. It is bordered on the south by M-55. This is a good area for fishing or bird watching, with an abundance of low swamp brush that attracts many species of warblers and sparrows. |
