Bainbridge Township is located south of Coloma/Watervliet in northeast Berrien County. It is essentially a scenic agricultural area featuring rolling hills and orchards. The attractive Township Hall sits at the corner of Territorial and Bainbridge Center Roads in the core of the township.

Bainbridge Township was named by Bainbridge, NY native Jehiel Enos in 1830. In 1833 the first settlers began arriving to the area. Among the first were the Bartholomew Sharrai family.

Highway M-140 runs north and south through the heart of the township making it well traveled by those traveling from Niles to Watervliet and South Haven.

Pipestone Lake, located in the south east corner of Bainbridge Township, is the township's largest lake. Access to the lake can be made from Meadowbrook Road.
