Armada Township is located on Macomb County�s northern border at the St. Clair County line. Its largest community is Armada, where township offices are located. This area consists of a mixture of small farms and residential subdivisions in a country-like setting, slowly transitioning into a pleasant urban community because of its close location to the greater Detroit metro area.


The area is particularly noted for its prominent apple orchards nestled among small hills and the winding turns of Coon Creek which flows through the area. An Apple Festival is held every October where many come from miles around to enjoy the colors, shop, and visit the orchard roadside stands during this time.
