Adrian Township Population: 2000(5749) 1990(4336) Change(1413)
In the beginning, Adrian Charter Township was known as Logan Township.
On December 20, 1826 Lenawee County was officially detached from Monroe and divided into two townships, Tecumseh and Logan. The legislature renames Logan Township, naming it Adrian Township on March 6th.
Adrian Township received its Charter status in 1999. The township has experienced tremendous growth in the last several years. As of the 2000 census, the township had a population of 5,749 with the township covering an area of 34.6 miles.
Adrian Charter Township consists of a Supervisor, Treasurer, Clerk, and four Trustees. A Fire Department of 28 trained Volunteer Firemen and a Police Department which includes a Chief, two Officers, and four Police Reserves are here to protect your safety. A Building Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, and Electrical Inspector are available to help you with your home projects. All of our elected officials and employee's are available to serve and assist township residents in meeting their needs and wants within our community.
