Greenville, Michigan
Greenville is located in Montcalm County’s Eureka Township, in the southwest corner of the county. Greenville was chartered in 1871 and named after John Green. Green sought his fortune in lumber and moved to the area from New York in the 1840’s. After building a sawmill and dam, the area quickly grew into a town, financed primarily by Green.

Today, Greenville is the County’s largest region of commerce and is growing rapidly. It is known for refrigerator production, tool and die, plastics and other diverse manufacturing. Greenville comes alive in August, when it celebrates its Danish Festival. Greenville’s downtown area is also a great place to shop if you’re looking to get out and travel somewhere. The Flat River is also a relaxing place to enjoy a walk, or maybe try some fishing. C’mon out and visit!
