Central Lake is a small village located at the North end of Intermediate Lake. Platted in 1883, the village has grown to nearly 900 residents.

Thurston Park is a notable site in this village, with a nice beach, and a large campground for all types of camping enthusiasts. Two large pavilions also are in the park and are available for public use, with a nice playground nearby.

Also of note is the Central Lake C of C Children’s Museum, where individuals can see how the children of the past dressed and were raised, with authentic clothing and toys on display.
